This week’s program takes off with Einojuahni Rautavaara’s Cantus arcticus, which incorporates birdsong recorded near the Arctic Circle and on the bogs in Northern Finland. Next, LPO Principal Clarinetist, Chris Pell, masterfully tackles Carl Nielsen’s Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra. The program ends with Johannes Brahms’ Symphony No. 4, his last symphony.
