A.J. Allegra

Originally from Chicago, A.J. Allegra moved to New Orleans in 2007 to work with the professional theatre company The NOLA Project, which he formed in 2005 with fellow theatre students at NYU. He has acted and directed with many local theatres including Le Petit, The New Orleans Shakespeare Festival at Tulane, The Patchwork Players, JPAS, and Le Chat Noir. He is the recipient of two Big Easy Entertainment Awards for directing and acting. He currently teaches acting in the Theatre Department at NOCCA and holds a BFA from NYU and a Shakespeare Performance Certificate from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London.
